It's been 80 years since the Joker first appeared debuting in Batman #1 in 1940, this serial killer and super villain dressed as a clown is the perfect antagonist of Batman and has a great record of crimes including kidnapping, corruption, terrorisms, murder attempts, torture, prison escapes and murder (2,997 murders in film adaptations, according to a study by Comicboock where Joker 2019 was not included), among these murders is an unfortunate Robin.
In the 1998 mini-series Batman: A Death in the Family, readers were able to decide Robin/Jason Todd's fate by voting, which resulted in Robin, after going in search of his real mother, being betrayed by her and handed over to Joker, who beats him to death and explodes his body with a bomb.
Origin of the Joker:
The most cited story of origin was made by Bill Finger, in 1951 Detective Comics #168 announced that Joker was a masked criminal nicknamed "red hood", that criminal in an attempt to flee while being pursued by Batman fell into a tank of acid, to leave the tank his hair was dyed green, white skin as a corpse and that smile Machiavelli, BORN THE JOKER.
